Notes
This was sourced from shn ID 177. "Hot" distorted vocals
marred this otherwise nice performance. Vocals were attenuated
resulting in better balance and less vocal distortion. Still
not perfect but much better.
Jerry Garcia, guitar - vocals
Bob Weir, guitar - vocals
Phil Lesh, bass
Keith Godchaux, keyboards
Bill Kreutzmann, drums
Donna Jean Godchaux, backing vocals

Easy on the ears remaster of a good but not epic show
The tape sounds very nice with a good stereo image and good instrument presence. Phil is nice and warm. The show is cleanly played and has good energy
...
but there's nothing stunning or spectacular for the year. The Eyes > Stella is great, and I mean the Eyes is really really great with a flowing outro jam after the composed parts of Eyes. The middle of set 1 is nice and a rare one-drummer Black Peter is a very fine highlight (played about 4 or 5 times a year in '72-'74). T Bird Song, Playin' and Dark Star all strike me as a bit typical for the era. They're good and feature nice jazzy interplay but they're not really unique in either energy or content. Based on comparison with the AUD very little is missing in the dropout at the end of the Dark Star track, just a bit of cooloff from the Tiger meltdown segment. I don't mean to downplay this show, as average for 1973 is really great! And to my ear this performance doesn't have serious lulls or major flaws either. Even somewhat generic versions Dark Star, Bird Song and Playin' from '73 are worth your time when the tape is good, there's really nothing bad and the Black Peter is a treat. And the extended Eyes jam is choice; that is the unique segment that serious fans of the era will want to check out.

nice work on the remaster
This a really nice upgrade to a typically upbeat, fun show from a great tour. Thanks for uploading!
